In need of a stronger dogfighter than the Eagle drone, the ISP has commissioned a new fighter craft, one with the power to challenge larger and more heavily armored targets. The Vulture drone is an automated heavy assault fighter tasked with engaging enemy craft in dogfights.
The Vulture is far more heavily armored than the Eagle, covered in a thick layer of composite titanium armor. The Vulture also carries a polarity shield generator, unlike its smaller cousin, giving it even more protection. In terms of armaments, it carries four 50mm autocannons in forward mounts, and a top mounted 30mm machine gun turret, giving the fighter excellent firing arcs.
However, all of this extra mass comes at a price: the Vulture is extremely slow for an unmanned drone, with a max acceleration of 212 G’s. Its maneuverability is decent for such a large craft, but is still woefully outperformed by lighter fighters.
Nevertheless, the Vulture is a powerful starfighter. Its weapons and armor are not to be underestimated, and it puts up a surprisingly good fight against traditional piloted fighters. These armored monsters are starting to be deployed with ISP fleets en masse, and are a worrisome prospect for any force looking to challenge them.
