The Trinity-class is the smallest Collective vessel assigned to carrier groups. Some small groups even exclusively use Trinitys over the larger cruisers and battlecruisers.
Poorly armored and shielded, these destroyers work in numbers to neutralize enemy vessels at long range before they themselves take damage. They are armed with a single singularity cannon, and 20 magstream cannons. The Trinity’s defensive batteries consist of 100 electron turrets for dealing with fighter and missile threats.
The vessel is 2,500 meters long, and enjoys a high degree of maneuverability, able to accelerate at 10 G’s. As the fastest escort in a battlegroup, these vessels will sometimes peel off from the formation to engage foes at shorter ranges, though they will stay close to the carrier if up against heavy fighter or missile attack.
Specifically designed to operate in battlegroups, Trinity-class ships are very rarely used in any other capacity. They usually form the meat of the carrier group’s firepower, and can always be seen accompanying Order-class vessels on patrol.
