The Tigershark-class is one of several patrol vessels in use by the Commonwealth Navy. Generally used as a light support or reconnaisance ship, the Tigershark is lightly armed and armored, and will not hold up in prolonged combat.
At 450 meters in length, the Tigershark is smaller than most warships. Its armor is fairly thin, and shields are underpowered, making it a fairly fragile vessel. Boasting a max acceleration of 11 G’s, it is a fairly quick ship at sub-lightspeed, and its small mass make it highly maneuverable. Its armament is fairly limited, consisting of only 3 anti-ship missile launchers, and 2 PD missile launchers and 6 60 mm sand cannons. In addition, it is equipped with a hangar capable of holding six Hawk fighters.
A run of the mill patrol ship, the Tigershark is a common sight in Commonwealth space, seen flying in formation with larger warships in the skies above.
