While the ta’kesh tend to prefer the rush of close-in ground combat, some find themselves enamored with the thought of dominating their foes from above. The Rainsteel is a deadly air support craft used to clear a path for Tribal Warriors during offensive actions.
The Rainsteel is armed with a variety of lethal weaponry. It carries a pair of forward mounted 60mm autocannons as its primary weapons, which provide it with limited anti vehicle capabilities. Secondary weapons systems are comprised of two wing-mounted 20mm HMG turrets and a chin-mounted light shrapnel cannon.
Even not taking into account its lack of shields, the Rainsteel is considerably more fragile than other gunships. It lacks significant armor, prioritizing offense over defense. It must rely on its speed to avoid fire, having a maximum acceleration of 99 G’s.
The Rainsteel will often accompany Tribal offensives, providing support against enemy infantry and light vehicles, or protecting friendly forces from aircraft. They are terrifying opponents for troops on the ground to have to face, and are brutally efficient in their roles.
