While the Conqueror-class Monitor is the most powerful ta’keshi ship, and the Corsair frigate is the most common, the Marauder-class Battlecruiser strikes a balance between the two, its blend of firepower and affordability making it a favorite of Tribal warlords.
The Marauder is 6,320 meters in length, and is bristling with weaponry. It carries 40 475mm dual cannons, 30 700mm triple cannons, and two 1,500mm superheavy cannons, making it a contender for the most well-armed battleship in service today. In addition to its heavy weapons, it has a point defense system consisting of 170 shrapnel cannons and 300 60mm dual autocannons.
It also has heavy composite tungsten and titanium armor to mitigate any fire that slips through the defensive net. However, its bulk greatly restricts its maneuverability, making it an easy target in combat. The vessel has a max acceleration of 2 G’s, slower than other battlecruisers, and barely faster than most monitors.
Marauder-class vessels are powerful front line combatants that present a major threat to enemies of the ta’kesh. Their brutal firepower and staunch resilience to damage make them dangerous foes, even for much more advanced peer vessels.
