The M25 is the ISP’s premier air defense unit, guarding ISP ports and military bases throughout their territory. Cheaper than missile based anti-air, these vehicles rely on sophisticated ballistics guidance systems to accurately put fire on fast moving aerial targets.
Built on the same chassis as the Warhorse MBT, the Ballista swaps the tank’s dual 150 mm cannons for a single 60 mm railgun. Capable of swapping between specialized WASP anti-aircraft rounds and APFSDS rounds for anti-armor duty, the Ballista is a multi-role vehicle that can rapidly switch between air defense and ground support roles due to its automated ordnance selection system. In addition to its primary weapon, the Ballista has a single M100 support weapon on a pintle mount, remotely controlled by a gunner in the vehicle’s crew compartment.
Powered by a miniturized fission reactor and using treads for propulsion, the vehicle can reach speeds of up to 45 miles per hour. It is protected by 250 mm of composite armor plating, as well as a polarity shield generator that can absorb up to 800 MJ of kinetic energy before failing. The Ballista combines excellent durability with versatility, making it a deadly opponent on the battlefield.
