Needing a lighter vehicle that could successfully engage small pirate technicals, the Collective issued a mandate for the design of an IFV to bridge the gap between patrol vehicle and dedicated armor. Shortly thereafter, the LVX was delivered for testing, and was quickly rolled into the Collective’s armed forces.
As a fire support vehicle, the LVX has a hefty armament, consisting of a light magstream cannon for anti-vehicular work, and a heavy electron turret for suppressing infantry. Unlike the PVX, the LVX comes with a shield array for intercepting incoming fire. It packs thicker armor as well, making it a tough nut to crack, even for hostiles with anti-tank weaponry.
The LVX’s propulsion system consists of three impulse nozzles mounted on the vehicle’s undercarriage. These nozzles make it a very maneuverable platform, allowing it to dance around the battlefield with fluid grace. In a straight line sprint, it can reach up to 248 miles per hour.
An effective combat vehicle, the LVX has become a staple of Collective forces throughout the galaxy, used to provide the muscle in peacekeeping operations.
