Very little is known of the kellar. They are believed to be extragalactic, as they appeared long after the rai did, but are much more advanced. What few pieces of information are available on their biology and technology baffles the most intelligent scientists and researchers the galaxy has to offer; according to the most basic scientific laws, they should not exist.
The kellar are very secretive, keeping their interactions with the galaxy’s other inhabitants at a bare minimum. Pirates and roaming chitai marauders have learned to avoid kellar at all costs, lest they incur massive retaliation from the Kellar Kingdom’s deadly navy. Nobody knows much about their intentions or motivations, or even where their capital planet is.
Kellar biology is a complete mystery. There have been scarce opportunities to do any kind of examination of them, and such investigations have only brought about more questions. Most of the elements found in both their body structure and building materials are completely unknown, having never before been seen in any other part of the galaxy. Their body function is similarly alien, seemingly needing no form of nutrition, and lacking any recognizeable internal organs.
Kellar are able to speak in the same manner as other species, manipulating the air to form vibrations just as others use their mouths; however, kellar have no discernible mouths, nor any other organ deemed capable of such communication. Their bodies have give off a faint glow, and appear to be almost gaseous, their outlines constantly shifting and distorting. Despite this, they are in fact solid, as they seem to react with other objects the same way any other solid matter would.
The kellar are an object of fascination for many of the galaxy’s prominent scientific minds. Shrouded in secrecy, they do their utmost to keep themselves out of the spotlight.
