Hoplites are basic Conglomerate footsoldiers, used in a similar manner to organic infantry. They are heavily armed and armored, and are one of the most common platforms used by terons who have chosen military career paths.
Hoplites are an almost perfect blend of firepower, durability, and speed. They are bipedal constructs, with a vague humanoid body structure. Their primary weapon is a gravity driver mounted on their right arm, which projects a focused stream of gravitic waves. These waves tear apart their target with highly concentrated localized G-forces, and are supremely effective against armored targets.
Hoplites are highly mobile, capable of running at up to 45 miles per hour. They have unprecedented endurance, and their durability allows them to endure much harsher conditions than living troops. Their body structure is remarkably flexible, and they have a high degree of physical strength, making them deadly close quarters combatants. They have integrated fabricators in their left arms that produce monomolecular blades. The blades are fragile, and shatter upon use.
Hoplites are covered in thick monocrystaline armor plating, and are heavily resistant to small arms fire. In addition, they carry gravity shield generators for increased protection. This durability, mixed with their agility, makes them exceptionally difficult to destroy.
These robotic infantry form the backbone of Conglomerate ground forces. They make exceptional shock troops, often outperforming organic soldiers in combat. They are powerful assault units, used to engage in small-scale combat against the enemies of the Conglomerate.
