With the ISP military short on manpower and in need of something to supplement infantry squads and explorer teams, KyTech industries submitted the design for the Doberman rover. A six wheeled rover guided by a simple computer core, the Doberman has since been used to fill out the ranks of the ISP ground forces.
Equipped with independent suspension for each wheel and a robust, flexible frame, the Doberman is able to traverse rough terrain with little difficulty, though significant obstacles will impede its ability to move. Capable of being programmed with a variety of subroutines, the Doberman can perform patrols, exploration, reconnaisance, and active combat with little issue. Though tedious, each rover is independently programmed instead of being linked to each other in a network, to prevent hacking.
Armed with an integrated M50 rifle, the Doberman is capable of engaging enemy infantry alongside living soldiers. Though not particularly durable, the Doberman’s systems are highly redundant, requiring concentrated fire to completely destroy. Combined with their small size, they are much tougher to put down than normal troops. This simple drone frequently proves to be a vital asset to ISP ground teams.
