While the A42 Patriot handles most close air support duties for the Commonwealth, when the boys on the ground need an entire area flattened, they call in the Boar. Massive, ugly, and mean, the B10 Boar carries enough ordnance to wipe out a column of tanks in a single pass.
Boasting unmatched firepower, the B10 is armed with a pair of 15 mm autocannons capable of firing either APFSDS shells for anti-vehicle duties, or wide area spread penetrator (WASP) shells for anti-infantry or anti-aircraft combat. In addition, it carries a powerful 120 mm railgun for attacking heavily armored targets, such as tanks or ships. Last, but not least, the Boar carries six 1,500 lb bombs, used for leveling buidings, wiping out armor formations, and dealing heavy damage to starships.
The B10 can reach a maximum acceleration of 153 G’s, and is surprisingly maneuverable for such a large fighter. Simulations have shown that the erratic flight paths they are capable of performing at high speed make them difficult targets for even computer-controlled point defense to hit. In case they are still hit, they are coated in a dense layer of titanium composite armor, giving them the durability they need to survive enemy fire during a bombing run.
