Armators are the standard infantry unit of the Verran Republic. Well-trained and highly disciplined, Armators stand duty in all Republic holdings throughout the Sagittarius Arm.
Armators wear Drake-class combat armor, a full-body protective suit, complete with hermetic seals to protect them from airborne toxins. The armor is made up of exterior ablative layers to energy weapon fire, and interior ballistic plates to stop projectiles from kinetic weapons. The armor itself is constructed from synthetic diamond.
Armators carry plasma weapons for small arms, such as the Mk II Komodo plasma rifle and the Viperus plasma pistol. For close-quarters situations, they are armed with Saber Spikes, tungsten spikes mounted on a retractable wrist gauntlet. On the other wrist, they carry the Javelin, a small anti-personnel rocket launcher.
These soldiers make up the vast majority the Republic’s infantry forces, and are the lifeblood of the Republic military.
